US06.jpg (100682 bytes) (General) George Day Wagner.   1862 dated General Order putting his troops on half rations except for fresh beef “of which a full ration will be issued.”  At the time this was written, Wagner was colonel of the 15th Indiana Infantry, then part of the 21st Brigade in the Army of Ohio and Cumberland.  The regiment was engaged in the pursuit of the enemy after the battle of Rich mountain in Virginia.  Wagner was promoted to brigadier general three months later.   $ SOLD
US08_20thPaCav.jpg (87636 bytes) 20th Pennsylvania Cavalry.  Dec. 21, 1864 dated communiqué relating to a wagon train and grain for the 20th's horses. $ SOLD
US18.jpg (381644 bytes) 65th Illinois. Payroll account of Lt. John R. Floyd and his black servant Dock Morrill.  Dated May of 1864.  He resigned on 9/16/1864 after over 30 months of service. $ SOLD

Va Oct. 7th 1862".  At this time, the Confederate army was in the Shenandoah and watching McClellan who was still in Sharpsburg.  There is no recipient's name, apparently a protocol used in keeping the whereabouts of units secret should the note be intercepted.  $ 40
