ArtOff_all.jpg (470225 bytes) Mounted Artillery Officer's Saber.  One of the rarest of regulation patterns, this Horstmann private purchase was made without any US symbols on the blade etching.  That plus the Virginia dogwood on the guard point to an 1861 Southern purchase.  A beautiful piece with no nicks in blade or dents in scabbard.   $ SOLD
images to come Fifth Illinois Cavalry Saber.  1862 dated Mansfield and Lamb carried by Cpl. Nathan Swiggett.  Directly from his great-grandson octogenarian Harry Briggs to me.  Has been cleaned and is missing grip wire.  I.D.'d cavalry sabers are rare.  $ 1100
